After working with Liz Lomax (www.lizlomax.com) I brought to life one of my Doll Factory Illustrations:

  • I had a drive, to recreate the Twigs logo I did years ago—in oil/digital.

  • The Butcher, The Baker and the Candlestick Maker…sail away in their shiny tub!

15″x 20″ Recreated Miss Muffet in Oil and Digitial on Illustration Board
Little Miss Muffet, sat on a tuffet, eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider and sat right beside her,and frightened Miss Muffet away.

  • Daedalus teaches his young son to fly with care…it’s his first time with new wings while Pandora opens her legendary mistake——-these were demos for an Art 3 high school illustration class.

  • This last year, I had some fun again with my students’ likenesses…They even dressed up as the characters. As a thank you, they got to keep the printed banners from the Mocha Moose.

  • Life is always about endings and the new beginnings we can embrace. As an visual artist (and musician) there are always changes internally that evoke a strike of lightening. In my past, little lightenings here and there have brought me great insight and new visions.

I wonder when the next lightening will strike.

Life can be fun for a rabbit…when your world is a carrot. With these particular pieces, I started with no idea, just shapes rubbed from blended color—and wait to see WHAT I see…then flesh it out.

  • Prettylines was created as part of my MFA thesis at Hartford University in 2009. It was a marketing and illustration project that encompassed studying and targeting a young feminine market by understanding the draw of symbols, patterns, color and nature.

  • The Doll Factory illustrations are a collection of portraits of the young people I’ve met.
